Mostly mechanical background. Coined the new term permasteading as that's what I'm practicing. Homesteading with an agricultural leaning towards re-establishment of abundant native perennials. Self employed and self educated in the study of how to get through what adversity may come our way due to rampant consumerism, human competition, greed and pride.

A long time renter and consumer, I always had it in my subconscious that something was not right. Upon delving into matters, I realized that most things are not right. I can't fix the human condition but maybe I can help my children and children's children face whatever future awaits them and just maybe make that future a little brighter. The more I learn about nature, the more hope I have for them.

Currently working 8 acres purchased after searching for two years. Just a small chunk of forest but with permaculture techniques, it has the potential to produce much more than it currently does.
