About Trina Lopez

I am a newbie to permaculture, and just finished my permaculture certification at the Regenerative Design Institute in Bolinas, CA. I came to permaculture by way of urban beekeeping.

I am an apprentice beekeeper with San Francisco Bee Cause, and am also mentoring new apprentices in the organization. I have a backyard beehive. I do some limited urban gardening and a little gardening in my yard, and hope to gain lots of experience with permaculture very soon.

My hope is to become more involved in urban permaculture by educating children and adults in community gardens, in schools, and through local organizations. Eventually, I would also like to work with landscape designers who base their work on permaculture principles. I would also like to have goats one day!

My background is in media arts / filmmaking, library work, and freelance historical research, so as you can tell, permaculture is a whole new world for me -- one about which I am VERY excited!
