My name is Kimb
some call me berly.
I am caretaker of 60 acres in Friendsville, Md.
A child exposed to wilderness, I spent my evenings after homework night biking with my father, and kayaking on the weekend in Appalachia.
I took a course years ago called Society and Environment that cultivated a deep sense of urgency to protect and provide for the Earth as it has for us.
Activism has led me to a profound need for community, creativity, and understanding of natural food ecosystems.
I have come to believe that it is most important to create alternatives while showing up at the local and state governments to help guide our country.
I am young, have no formal training in Permaculture, but have feeling.
Our New Farm, without a name yet, is one of much water, forests/fields, and possibility.
We are currently learning to keep bees, cultivate mushrooms, and will purchase heritage breed chickens shortly.
This July 4th we plan to have a solar powered stage running for celebration.
We seek helping hands, loving prayers, and any knowledge or support that can be offered.
