Robert grew up on a dairy farm in Nebraska and witnessed the negative changes in agriculture over the decades. He began a career in the military and in IT. He previously worked at IBM and is currently an information security and risk consultant for another firm.

Robert became interested in permaculture in his study of complexity theory and complex systems with respect to risk and non-linear impact. It became a natural and necessary line of study to return to his agricultural roots with a new way of thinking.

Robert is currently developing his rural home property in Beulah, Colorado USA as well as planning out another 200 acre property near Beulah, Colorado.
