About Philip Small

I started out in the 1970's as a ceramic artist / tractor driver. Now I am an environmental soil science consultant. My typical client applies some form of "waste" to land. I also get involved with a diversity of soil issues on behalf of clients and community.

My fascination with our unfolding understanding of soil has led me to study permaculture as I look for ways to activate the principles of permaculture in my life, starting at home.
