I am a full time student working towards a degree in nursing, our health systems will need support in transition to become more resilient.
I am a founder member of Leeds Permaculture Network, Yorkshire teachers guild and Pudsey Local Sustainability Enterprise (PuLSE); an active permaculture and gardening teacher and designer.
I hold a diploma in Applied Permaculture Design through the Permaculture Association (Britain) I have a BA (Hons) in Peace Studies. My previous existence as a community development worker informs my practice as a permaculture designer.
Since 2000 I have used permaculture design to transform my life, starting with how I use my time and working out from there.
I have designed and implemented time management, home, garden, allotment (including a forest garden) and transport designs with my family. In my local community I have worked with schools and community groups to develop gardens and a local permaculture network. Citywide I have been part of developing a permaculture network and a community gardening project as well as a local teachers guild.
I am a diploma tutor (in the British system) I facilitate on Permaculture Design Courses, introduction to permaculture courses, introduction to teaching permaculture, ecological gardening courses and a variety of workshops and presentations ranging from schools work to introducing sustainability concepts to community groups. I also convene courses for other teachers.
Consultancy work undertaken includes school designs, urban garden designs and community garden designs
I have worked as the international coordinator at the Association in Britain, supporting the ongoing development of a communicating, supportive international permaculture network.
