Soil Improvement

Posted by Margot Janssen-Hansen over 8 years ago

Utilising different methods of composting to improve the soil and growing of veges.

Using worm farm and compost heaps.

Also gardens with central compost heap and growing bed surrounding.

Over the last 10 years the soil has been improved by adding organic matter - from growing medium out of commercial growing operations to composted horse manure and worm farm castings. Also chickens.

Soil depth has increased and the colour of the soil is much darker.
