The Kul Kul Farm

Project Type

Rural, Demonstration, Educational

Project Summary

The Kul Kul Farm is located walking distance from the Green School in Bali. We are passionate about growing real awesome food and bringing people together in meaningful ways to learn and live closer to the land. Currently in our start-up phase. We plan to begin full operations by June 2015.

Project Description

We offer courses and workshops in regenerative farming and permaculture here in Bali that will give you practical knowledge and skills to help change your gardens, communities and lives.

We provide food-garden implementation and revitalisation services, and sell tools, seeds and all the things you need to get started on growing awesome food in your home.

We work with skilled teachers from different parts of the world with down-to-earth expertise and experience on regenerative agriculture and environmental leadership. C

WHY A FARM?

IMG_6510

We want to grow and promote food that’s grown is wholesome honest ways through sustainable and regenerative farming practices. We want to make growing food accessible and fun. We want to live a hands-on life, do skill-based work, and we want to actively provide and share with a community, developing real connections to place and people. Both in a local and global context. We’re not experts, but work with many and we are drawn to share our experiences with people interested in making the world a better place be. We hope The Kul Kul farm will open new doors and add something to your life – whether it’s learning to start your own garden or just understanding a bit more about how to support the earth that we all rely on to live.

Legend of Badges

Note: The various badges displayed in people profiles are largely honesty-based self-proclamations by the individuals themselves. There are reporting functions users can use if they know of blatant misrepresentation (for both people and projects). Legitimacy, competency and reputation for all people and projects can be evidenced and/or developed through their providing regular updates on permaculture work they’re involved in, before/after photographs, etc. A spirit of objective nurturing of both people and projects through knowledge/encouragement/inspiration/resource sharing is the aim of the Worldwide Permaculture Network.

PRI Teacher

With the exception of the ‘Member’ who has never taken a PDC, all of the above can apply to become a PRI PDC Teacher. PRI PDC Teachers are those who the PRI recognise, through a vetting board, as determined and competent to teach the full 72-hour course as developed by Permaculture founder Bill Mollison – covering all the topics of The Designers’ Manual as well as possible (i.e. not cherry picking only aspects the teacher feels most interested or competent in). Such teachers also commit to focussing on the design science, and not including subjective spiritual/metaphysical elements. The reason these items are not included in the PDC curriculum is because they are “belief” based. Permaculture Design education concerns itself with teaching good design based on strategies and techniques which are scientifically provable.

PRI PDC Teachers may be given teaching and/or consultancy offerings as they become available as the network grows.
