The creativity vortex is an 11 hectare plot of land situated in Mgarr, Malta. here is where it all happens! We have created a space for people to simply be! A space where people can be creative therough - workshops and talks, designing, painting, building through natural materials, grow our own food, share knowledge and good vibes, and most of all: connect with one another through nature.
Onsite we have built a large dome from where we run workshops,mantra/yoga sessions, talks, jamming etc
WhyNot Tree planting campain. An ambitious project where we aim to plant a million trees! We shall be constructing a larger tree nursery soon..
WhyNot miniplots give the opportunity for people to have their own mini plot where they can grow their own organic veggies for free
Currently landscaping the place for better water harvesting through swales and natural pools
WhyNot composting awareness campaign - A project where we shall be setting up a demonstration of different composting systems and create more awareness with the public on the importance of composting.
The creativity vortex is constantly evolving, each person who experiences this project, is bringing in their own positive influences, and each person who has come and gone or stayed have left their mark and memory in many good ways!
Events keep flowing, more people come together.Events such as Eco Gathering, Meditation Mondays and Jamming Fest are only some of the many events WhyNot organises, and have been a source of great inspiration to many, and it is very inspiring to see such happening in such a small island like Malta.
Malta needs a change towards a more envoironmental approach and thinking, and in a small country like this a community projects such as the Creativity Vortex and the Permaculture institure in Bahrija as well as other projects are here to make this change
So if you happen to be on this little sunny island and want to catch up with or even want to come live and volunteer on the land and be around like minded people, we would love to hear from you and get to know you!
Hope you will want to join our tribe soon! Lots is happening!
Note: The various badges displayed in people profiles are largely honesty-based self-proclamations by the individuals themselves. There are reporting functions users can use if they know of blatant misrepresentation (for both people and projects). Legitimacy, competency and reputation for all people and projects can be evidenced and/or developed through their providing regular updates on permaculture work they’re involved in, before/after photographs, etc. A spirit of objective nurturing of both people and projects through knowledge/encouragement/inspiration/resource sharing is the aim of the Worldwide Permaculture Network.

PRI TeacherWith the exception of the ‘Member’ who has never taken a PDC, all of the above can apply to become a PRI PDC Teacher. PRI PDC Teachers are those who the PRI recognise, through a vetting board, as determined and competent to teach the full 72-hour course as developed by Permaculture founder Bill Mollison – covering all the topics of The Designers’ Manual as well as possible (i.e. not cherry picking only aspects the teacher feels most interested or competent in). Such teachers also commit to focussing on the design science, and not including subjective spiritual/metaphysical elements. The reason these items are not included in the PDC curriculum is because they are “belief” based. Permaculture Design education concerns itself with teaching good design based on strategies and techniques which are scientifically provable. PRI PDC Teachers may be given teaching and/or consultancy offerings as they become available as the network grows. |
