Project Summary

Permaculture retreat center with school of music and the arts. Centro de retiro permacultura con una escuela de la música y las artes.

Project Description

We are currently looking for property for a kids' food forest.  We will have a small cottage industry of products made from plant oils and bee's wax, i.e. soap, shampoo, body lotion, lip balm, etc.

We will host healing retreats, including massage, yoga/taijiquan/qigong, acupuncture and herbal medicine.  Other activities will include horseback tours, packgoat hiking, kayaking, and spinning/weaving/knitting local wool.

Here we will have a school of arts, music and dance. Volunteers will be encouraged and inspired.  All guests/residents will have the opportunity to learn Spanish and the local Mayan dialects.

En estos momentos estamos buscando propiedad bosque de alimentos para niños. Vamos a tener una pequeña industria artesanal de los productos elaborados a partir de aceites vegetales y cera de abeja, es decir, jabón, champú, loción corporal, protector labial, etc


Vamos a organizar retiros de sanación, que incluyen masajes, yoga / taijiquan / qigong, la acupuntura y la medicina herbal. Otras actividades incluyen paseos a caballo, senderismo, kayak, packgoat e hilado / tejido / tejido de lana local.

With the exception of the ‘Member’ who has never taken a PDC, all of the above can apply to become a PRI PDC Teacher. PRI PDC Teachers are those who the PRI recognise, through a vetting board, as determined and competent to teach the full 72-hour course as developed by Permaculture founder Bill Mollison – covering all the topics of The Designers’ Manual as well as possible (i.e. not cherry picking only aspects the teacher feels most interested or competent in). Such teachers also commit to focussing on the design science, and not including subjective spiritual/metaphysical elements. The reason these items are not included in the PDC curriculum is because they are “belief” based. Permaculture Design education concerns itself with teaching good design based on strategies and techniques which are scientifically provable.

PRI PDC Teachers may be given teaching and/or consultancy offerings as they become available as the network grows.
