The Cwm Harry organsiation is concerned with the nutrient cycle and has developed a food waste composting facility in Newtwon Powys. More recently we have developed a community garden on the back lot of the factiry, where we are developing a garden and creating volunteerig and learning opportunities for those keen in getting invovled in growing food. We have recently received three years worth of funding to develop the Get-Growing project, to develop community gardens using permaculture and horticulture priniples.
A newer development is the creation of a local community energy proejct, this is for my village in Llanrhaeadr in the Welsh Marches. We are running some training sessions on renewable energy and energy efficiency and undertaking some exemplary works in the area to demonstrate possibiliteis. www.llanrhaeadr.org.uk
