We are the ones we have been waiting for!

Message from Hopi Indians, Arizona

You have been telling people that this is the eleventh hour.

Now you must go back to them and tell them this IS the hour! And there are things to be considered…Where are you living? What are you doing? What are your relationships? Are you in the right relationship? Where is your water? Know your garden. It is time to speak your Truth. Create your community. Be good to each other. And do not look outside yourself for the Leader. This could be a good time!

There is a river flowing now, very fast. It is so great and so swift that there are many who will be afraid. They will try to hold on to the shore. They will feel they are being torn apart and they will suffer greatly.

Know that the river has its destination. The Elders say we must let go from the shore, push off into the middle of the river: keep your eyes open and your heads above the water. And I say – see who is there with you and celebrate!

At this time in history, we are to take nothing personally, least of all ourselves. For the moment that we do, our spiritual growth comes to a halt. The time of the lone wolf is over. Gather yourselves! Banish the word “struggle” from your vocabulary and your attitude. All that we do now must be done in a sacred manner and in celebration.

We are the ones we have been waiting for!

Legend of Badges

Note: The various badges displayed in people profiles are largely honesty-based self-proclamations by the individuals themselves. There are reporting functions users can use if they know of blatant misrepresentation (for both people and projects). Legitimacy, competency and reputation for all people and projects can be evidenced and/or developed through their providing regular updates on permaculture work they’re involved in, before/after photographs, etc. A spirit of objective nurturing of both people and projects through knowledge/encouragement/inspiration/resource sharing is the aim of the Worldwide Permaculture Network.

PRI Teacher

With the exception of the ‘Member’ who has never taken a PDC, all of the above can apply to become a PRI PDC Teacher. PRI PDC Teachers are those who the PRI recognise, through a vetting board, as determined and competent to teach the full 72-hour course as developed by Permaculture founder Bill Mollison – covering all the topics of The Designers’ Manual as well as possible (i.e. not cherry picking only aspects the teacher feels most interested or competent in). Such teachers also commit to focussing on the design science, and not including subjective spiritual/metaphysical elements. The reason these items are not included in the PDC curriculum is because they are “belief” based. Permaculture Design education concerns itself with teaching good design based on strategies and techniques which are scientifically provable.

PRI PDC Teachers may be given teaching and/or consultancy offerings as they become available as the network grows.
