I have a background in Civil Engineering, 1 year Air Traffic Control, 10 years as a Medic, 20 years Computer Technician and 10 years as a Training Manager. Damn I'm old but never stopped learning.

Been practicing Permaculture for the first 2 years after purchasing a 5 acre farm.

I just didn't know it. Haha.

Bought a 5-acre farm in Kunia Loa Ridge Farmlands Oahu, Hawaii. Wow. Now what? After 2 years, I’m still learning. Farming has so much to research in terms of techniques, philosophy, and science. I would like to blow the doors wide open for Permaculture in Oahu, Hawaii by offering my farm as a place of education and using Permaculture practices. It’s like martial arts of different degree, specialties, or mixes. I hope to create a Food Forest Farm Oasis and create a collaborative community of projects using Permaculture design, techniques, and practices.

Until I saw Geoff Lawton’s Harvesting water, Greening the Desert, and Bill Mollison’s Dryland Permaculture strategies, I learned more in their You Tube videos than the books I was reading on gardening. I went from drip irrigation dryland plants to almost any nitrogen fixing trees with mulch and swales.

A lot of my neighbor's don't seem to know much about farming and may be holding to their property to sell in the near future as an investment.

And so I took two Intros to Permaculture and became one of the first Online PRI PDC graduates from Geoff Lawton. All in 6 months.

Now my Journey continues as I network farmers and fungi networks at the same time. I am so glad to be part of this historic moment.
