La Médecine du Raton Laveur dans la tradition amérindienne - Medicine of Raccoon in the Native American tradition.

Project: Gokiro

Posted by Régis Grosset about 11 years ago

- The observation of Raccoon, a protector generous, teachings directly and locally by wildlife.

In the fall, adorable Raccoons came to teach us by example, they work as a team to ensure the safety of the group; When they find food, a watcher in the background, watching the others in order to prevent possible danger. It is rewarded by his compagons always give to him the largest share of the booty.

This medicine protects the oppressed and the provider of youth, the disabled and the elderly. Raccoon teaches us generosity, sharing and giving. We learn to help others without them become victim or become dependent. It is learned that kindness and generosity are rewarded one who gave. If we have the feeling of having lost part of our soul, the raccoon is designated ally to help us recover.

Gokiro got the ambition to embody the generous protector. To make sense in the community, each person, man, woman, and child of all nations, regardless of their occupation, should strive for the same goal ...

...recover its plot of soul.

...its flamme.

Quebec and the rest of the Americas, became with time is a haven for people around the world, a place of cultural hybridity and each has ...

its share of ... wisdom.

As Pierre Lévys aid:

"Nobody knows everything, everyone knows something, all knowledge lives in all mankind."

In other words, a crowd is smarter than a single person, as all individual knowledge adds

this is also called the wisdom of crowds.

To unite people in a common Goal, as secure the 'Holy Fire' 'Life', the 'riches of the Family', 'Biodiversity'.

Thank you to our teachers, the Raccoon, allowing us to understand our role in their noble attitude.

Mel, Mitch & Rege

Legend of Badges

Note: The various badges displayed in people profiles are largely honesty-based self-proclamations by the individuals themselves. There are reporting functions users can use if they know of blatant misrepresentation (for both people and projects). Legitimacy, competency and reputation for all people and projects can be evidenced and/or developed through their providing regular updates on permaculture work they’re involved in, before/after photographs, etc. A spirit of objective nurturing of both people and projects through knowledge/encouragement/inspiration/resource sharing is the aim of the Worldwide Permaculture Network.

PRI Teacher

With the exception of the ‘Member’ who has never taken a PDC, all of the above can apply to become a PRI PDC Teacher. PRI PDC Teachers are those who the PRI recognise, through a vetting board, as determined and competent to teach the full 72-hour course as developed by Permaculture founder Bill Mollison – covering all the topics of The Designers’ Manual as well as possible (i.e. not cherry picking only aspects the teacher feels most interested or competent in). Such teachers also commit to focussing on the design science, and not including subjective spiritual/metaphysical elements. The reason these items are not included in the PDC curriculum is because they are “belief” based. Permaculture Design education concerns itself with teaching good design based on strategies and techniques which are scientifically provable.

PRI PDC Teachers may be given teaching and/or consultancy offerings as they become available as the network grows.
