The three ethics of Permaculture continue to ring true as I'm working in the fields, cooking meals, or talking with my fellow farming companions at Quinta do Vale Da Lama. Today I walked through the farm taking photos of fruits, vegetables, trees, people, and the interactions between them all, but I ran into some trouble while on this adventure.
As I was focusing my lens preparing for the shot, I couldn't decide what to focus on. In every frame there is abundance, in every frame there is so much diversity and natural beauty to capture. I felt lucky to be in such a predicament, and felt that Permaculture Design was revealing itself with each photograph. Here is a series of photos from this week. My name is Carrie, this is my third week as a volunteer here at Vale da Lama and I hope you enjoy my first blog post!
