After completing Geoff's course I've continued to expand my knowledge and experience. I have a stack of permaculture books at my nightstand that I'm working my way though!
I've gained valuable practical experience by participating at the Valhalla Project (http://www.valhalla-project.com/) and have just recently completed a paid design project. The design was for a newly acquired 160 acre farm about an hour north of Oklahoma City. The final design was presented to the clients early in 2014 before spring arrived. Implementation started in spring 2014 and will be ongoing for quite some time. Several swales, small dams have been installed and the seeded vegetation is flourishing, livestock operations are started and more infrastructure is going up. It was great to put Geoff's earthworks course knowledge to good use operating the bulldozer to build a large swale. I can't wait to see what this property looks like after a few short years go by!
