Edible Landscaping Design at a Public School

Posted by Nimia Ramos Beauchamp about 9 years ago

Designed in mind for elementary special needs students

Three main projects are underway:

1) A butterfly garden to help save the endangered Monarch

2) An edible colorful landscaped Flag Pole area

3) Spiral herbal garden and mini nursery

Many of the plants will be edible and/or medicinal herbs providing dual purposes.  A special emphasis on using what I call the 9 R's: reduce, reuse, recycle, replenish, re-gift, retrofit, reconsruct, restore, re-purpose will permeate throughout this project.
