Right outside the kitchen door was the perfect spot for a high bed. Red bricks on the terrace side, the outside perimeter created with posts and willow branches. Peter did the pounding of posts and I did the planting. This was completed in 2009.
Now the bed needs some rejuvenation and renovation.
The original dead willow branches on the bottom of the bed have broken and let the dirt run free.
The living willow on the top has grown wild.
I look forward to a sunny day to repeg living willow around the outside to reinforce the wall and hopfully start some sprouting closer to the ground.
