I have been interested in permaculture for years now. My long term goal is to get a plot of land when we have liquidated our assets and create a permaculture food forest or a permaculture farm. I try to learn as much as I can online but cannot wait until I can put some things into practice. I would love to volunteer at any projects for short visits of a week or two. I may move to "green" Spain or France but these are probably just dreams as I dont speak the language and it is unlikely to be practical at the end of the day but it is hard to get them out of my head. My husband is very supportive of me but doesnt share the same passions about food sovereignty and food forests but is happy to mosey along with it. We are 10 years off retirement and would love to find a couple of similar age to talk about maybe double teaming on a project? or anyone whatever their age. I love the idea of water harvesting, seed saving, solar power, rocket stoves etc. I am heavily interested in food as medicine and gut health (trying to heal mine as we speak) and would love to be comepletely self sufficient. Also learning how (and doing well) on making my own yogurt and lacto fermented vegetables. Happy to chat with anyone about any of those subjects.
