Tree-hugger. Seaweed lover. Windsurfing Instructor. Mountaineer. Educator. Grant Writer. French/American. Photographer. Academic. Eco-Feminist. Permaculture preacher
I am a Plant Science student at Cornell University, French/American.
After developing an immune deficiency at the age of 10, an herbalist concocted a tincture and restored my balance within a year. This was an eye-opener as to the power of plants in general.
I am part of a group of students who started the permaculture garden at Cornell University, and I have established a permaculture garden in a community in Nagarote, Nicaragua. As part of Cornell University Sustainable Design, we collaborated with 2 non-profits: SosteNica and Ceprodel to design a model eco-house to be replicated throughout Latin America. As a sailor I aim to combine water-sports with sustainable living. I am launching a new project with Les Glenans in Brittany.
I am frustrated with permaculture's lack of scientific proof that makes it difficult to bring our principles to Government officials and big corporations. Combining permaculture and science will be my life-long goal.
I'm interested in reaching out to a wider audience through discussions on women, permaculture, sustainability, leadership and empowerment. Please join me in the dialogue: The Permaculture Preacher-esse on YouTube
