(projects i'm involved in)
I'm a biologist who has mainly studied horned lizards and taught college biology and anatomy. I have a lifelong interest in the natural world and find permaculture an exhilarating opportunity to partner with nature. I was in the first group of Geoff Lawton's online PDC and found it eye-opening. I have not been able to get enough since! I am not very experienced, but am calling myself a permaculture consultant (learn while doing).
Right now I live in Yuma, AZ--the hottest, driest place in North America with record number of sunny days. Surprisingly I have an abundance of water--we live on one acre that has flood irrigation and clay-heavy soils.
