I have had a number of career changes over the years. In 1981, I became a social worker and that was my work for the next 17 years, My focus went from psychiatric social work to community activism.
I came to permaculture in 1999 when looking for solutions. I was working as an anti-poverty activist and was tired of protesting and telling people what was wrong. I wanted to fix problems not talk about them.
Today, in Campbellton New Brunswick, I have two projects on the go. One, I am part of a newly forming permaculture cooperative, Coopérative Sentiers de la Permaculture Paths Cooperative . The Coop is working with a local high school to create a permaculture site on the school grounds. My 2nd project is the Campbellton Community Garden which I helped found.
I plan, with the Coop, to acquire land for homesteading.
