My professional background is in writing and copy editing. I have degrees in English literature (BA), mathematics (BA), and fiction writing (MFA). I lived at Peter Bigfoot's Reevis Mountain School of Self-Reliance in the Superstition Mountains of AZ for six years, as Bigfoot's wife and RMS's operations manager. There I learned the magic that can happen when I fully give my energies and abilities to a project/place.

While at RMS I first heard of permaculture and had the privilege of meeting some amazing folks (e.g. Greg Peterson) whose passion and excitement ignited my own.

Currently I live on 40 acres of grazing land in NE AZ (zone 6a, cold semi-arid). I am currently prototyping ways to regenerate the soil and building temporary water harvesting systems and shelter. Intentions are to establish a windbreak followed by 1-acre food forest and build tiny strawbale and adobe houses.
