Moving to Central Tennessee from Florida 25 years ago, I bought 75 acres of forest with my husband. We are both retired, so I have time to work outside. Gardening has always been a passion for me, but it was after I retired that I was able to really get into it. I am also an artist, painting in oils and exhibiting at a local gallery.
Raised bed and square foot gardening have been part of my life for about 40 years. I recently found out about permaculture when I was researching biodynamic farming. Ruth Stout's no-till methods have always worked for me, permaculture seems like the next logical step. I am anxious in learning and putting this knowledge to use.
Projects I am workning on: Worm compost bin is started
Building chicken tractors to eat the lawn so it can be replanted with edibles
Rabbits for manure, instant compost
Looking for edibles that can be planted in the woods
Planning some beehives next year
