About Lorna Townsend

Hi,

I am a part time teacher and a full time commercial horticulture student at Greenwich University. I completed my full permaculture course in 2011 which has inspired me to retrain to become a food security specialist. I am motivated to implement the permaculture principles as much as possible and tackle the issues found in the commercial food industry!

I became interested in Permaculture after a going to the Big Green Gathering Festival, which opened the door to a whole host of sustainable living ideas.

I am interested in both new/traditional and sustainable methods of food production on various scales and alternative methods of feeding ourselves away from the monoculture we see currently.

I am looking for permaculture NGO/overseas work for the summer of 2013 to gain more experience in aid work and humanitarian aid sector.
