(projects i'm involved in)
From a young age I worked on a Christmas and ornamental tree farm with my grandfather and uncles, transplanting, pruning and generally caring for the trees. I studied economics, sociology and spanish at the University of Wisconsin Whitewater, and moved to Colombia in 2009.
I quickly became tired of hearing about all of the problems with our world, and became dedicated to learning about solutions. In Feb. 2013 I took my first PDC with Scott Pittman, and in December of the same year my wife and I moved into our new farm.
Currently we run a local environmental NGO and work at transforming our farm into a permaculture space. We germinate native trees on our farm for planting, sale and other activities in the community, such as letting children plant them. We work closely with our local community around opportunities to become more sustainable as a whole community.
