Background.
My education is in conservation and reserve management planning and implementation. Over the years I have moved more towards agriculture, transferring reserve management skills into an agricultural setting. I primarily have experience with livestock systems. Throughout my education and subsequent work ecology has been the solid theoretical base on which I have built.
Permaculture Interest.
I came across permaculture, holistic management, keyline and regen ag whilst searching for ways of integrating ecological and conservation thinking into productive systems.
Present Activity.
I am currently working as a Farm Manager at Ridgedale Permaculture in Sweden whilst concurrently compiling my Permaculture Diploma (Perm. Assoc. UK) portfolio.
I am very interested in investigating alternative farming practises from an objective, quantifiable, scientific angle. I am currently engaged in research on the impact of laying hens on the invertebrate community of grassland and also the impact of cattle grazing on sward composition.
