(projects i'm involved in)
As a college student I discovered the terrible relationship that contemporary human kind has developed with nature, and also with each other. I came to realize that my native society was a fragile facade, behind which was a monstrous truth. As a young person I could see my future being destroyed, both piecemeal and all at once. The economic system that benefits older generations and the wealthy has not left many options for the present. And the destruction of the Earth's natural and living wealth has not left much hope for the future.
Rather than hide from the ongoing destruction of the Earth's living systems, and rather than deny it, I decided I would work to be a part of the transformation of society. It became quite obvious, quite quickly, that the most powerful way I could be involved would be to begin to have organic and productive interactions with living systems. Once I had developed a bit of experience with gardening and learning horticulture, I decided to take a Permaculture Design Course online with Geoff Lawton. I was awarded a Permaculture Design Certificate through the Permaculture Research Institute in September of 2014.
My aspirations are simple enough; live a good life, and harm no one.
