I grew up strapped to my mother's back gardening. My family are English gardeners and so my gardening techniques have made a Californian off shoot from that foundation to incorporate permaculture, biodynamics and "do nothing farming" techniques. I have interned, worked, volunteered and lived at a number of farms including; Singing Frogs Farm, Summerfield Waldorf School and Farm, Ferme de Bois Genoud, La Cave des Cimes, a conventional wheat farm in Northern France, Findhorn, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, Alan Chadwick Gardens, CASFS and PICA at UCSC, Vanastree and Live Power.
I currently take care of goats and chickens and a 3/4 acre plot of land with my Mum. We sell artisan cheeses, eggs and preserves.
I work as a grounds keeper and always throw in some Hügelkultur, food crops and medicinals into the school planters. My moto is: let's grow something that is beneficial for the insects, humans, soil, and soul of the land.
