(projects i'm involved in)
I'm originally from Oklahoma, but I lived 7 years in Minnesota (where I helped found what is now pricoldclimate.org) and for 6 years in Iowa before settling in Kansas for 10 years. I moved to Omaha in 2018.
I heard about permaculture while touring ecovillages in 2004-05. I got my PDC from the Sustainable Living Coalition in Fairfield, Iowa in 2010. I've taught intro classes in Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, and DC and parts of a PDC in Kansas.
During my time in Kansas I operated a 1/10 acre urban farm (market garden), growing as many as 75 crops a year for market. Obviously the quantities produced were very small, but I did some good experimentation with guilds, polycultures, and vertical stacking as well as aquaponics and branch gardens in neighbors' yards.
I'm now seeking business partners for a permaculture business TBD. I again have a 1/10 acre yard in the Benson neighborhood of Omaha, currently mostly flowering ornamentals which are popular with the local pollinators.
