Background: Born in California, grew up in south east asia, served with Marine Corps in Vietnam, bachelor's degree in Philosophy from UCSB, served with US Army in Europe, Virgina and Chicago, "retired" to the land in southern Missouri, rejoined workforce as computer programmer, finally "retired" again to 10 acres.

I've been interested in Permaculture since before it was a word, and was fortunate to have attended a workshop given by Mollison in the early 80's. It's only been the past few years that I've begun to explore permaculture in depth, as I now have a place on which to carry out a plan in central Missouri.
