My background is art, architecture, interior design and gardening. I have had education and practice in edible landscaping, sustainable landscaping, permaculture, natural resources, environmental and ecological sciences. I have volunteered at the Homeless Garden Project in Santa Cruz, CA and Fish and Wildlife in plant id and river restoration projects. I have an Associates of Applied Science degree in Natural Resource Environmental Science and most recently completed my PDC. I continue my education today in Natural Resource Sustainability and Land Management with a minor in Horticulture.
For about 25+ years I have associated in the realm of Permaculture gardening with friends, at home and as a lifestyle. I have lived on home sites that practice Permaculutre design, composting, plant guilding, worm bins...where I have developed a natural knowing that comes with doing. My life has been geared towards being a part of the solution in sustainability and ecological restoration with a strong belief that Permaculture is key.
My present permaculture activities include working on my recently purchased home, designing it in accordance with permaculture principles and participating in projects in the area as an assistant while I continue my education. I'm interesting in building healthier more sustainable communities by implementing my knowledge in holistic land management and natural resources locally or where ever it takes me.
