I have lived in the pacific northwest all my life. I have worked on both an organic farm and a permaculture farm. I have learned a myriad of techniques via those farms and the vast amount of resources on the internet.
I first learned of permaculture when I was in my teens and have been engulfed in the world of self sufficiency/environmentalism ever since. However it is only recently that I have made the goal of self sufficiency for my family. Currently I live in a multi-generational home on roughly a two acre plot. My main goal is to produce more than enough food - for both the people and the animals that reside on the property - year round. My secondary goal is to produce an income via farm tours or permaculture consultation work.
