About Lee Robertson

I am a 2nd generation Home Builder working in the city of Birmingham and it's surrounding suburbs. I have grown up in the business all my life. Since 2006 I have also been involved in residential and light commercial remodeling projects.

I grew up on 5 acres of land with horses, cows, chickens and the occasional goat, pig or other barn animal. Currently we have rabbits, pigeons and guinea fowl too. It is really too much! We also have access to 100 acres of rural land with a pond and rolling hills, that we have kept our horses on over the years.

My parents alway kept an annual garden and I have been gardening at my own place organically and intensively for over 10 years now. I have been developing perennial food systems now for the last 5 years. (after taking the PDC, I laugh at my earlier methods and attempts and at how much money I was spending on things such as fertilizer, thank you Geoff Lawton for showing me a better way and inspiring me to keep trying)

Our building company has heavy equipment such as track excavators, tractors and front end loaders. I have been constructing damns, swales, hugelkultur, and other earth works for the past couple of years. And doing a much better job since the Earth Works Course.

I am fascinated by Permaculture Design as well as The Soil Food Web, Agro Forestry, Restoration Agriculture and the many other disciplines that seek to restore our Earth thru design with Ethics. The most wonderful aspect about Permaculture that I like is the focus that it brings and the importance that it plays, that allows me to feel connected to all other Permaculturists and peoples to see connections instead of competitions, working together for a greater common goal.

My dream is to join the ranks of other Permaculture Teachers and Designers and to live on a Permaculture Farm/Village where my family can grow up connected to the Mother Earth.
