I am about to purchase 7 acres outside of Fredericksburg, Texas with some friends. We are going to build homes from compressed earth blocks and grow our own food. We're building several small ponds that are connected to swales on contour. Our plan is to grow a food forest and turn this land into something that is incredible.
It's located at the end of a very quiet one lane country road, but is still close enough to town to be convenient. It has a gentle slope down to a perennial creek. A large amount of water that currently flows onto and then quickly off of the land. We intend to slow down that water and utilize to regenerate the land.
We are in the very early stages of this plan but we would love to show and share what we are doing with others. We are all also quite new to permaculture, but are getting an education as fast as we can. If you would like to be a part of our project, let me know.
