(projects i'm involved in)
I grew up on a small homestead in south-central Alaska where my love and fascination for the natural world was nurtured and cultivated. In the years since, I have studied literature and philosophy in northern Colorado and have been living in rural Chile for the past 5 years.
Permaculture instantly became a guiding framework for me when I was introduced to it while traveling around South America. As a natural problem-solver and big-picture-thinker, permaculture has helped me immensely to focus my energies on creating solutions and consciously designing my lifestyle for greater degrees of freedom and well-being.
I am currently working on my International Diploma of Permaculture Design at Gaia University, living on and developing a 185-acre farm in central Chile with my wife and her family, building a regenerative education tech startup called Wired Roots (wiredroots.org), and conducting independent research. My primary interests are in education, systems thinking and design, patterns, cymatics and sympathetic vibratory physics amongst others.
