I have always had an interest in reducing my footprint and living more self sufficiently. I did my first Introduction to Permaculture course in 2009 with Very Edible Gardens (VEG) in Melbourne, and as Geoff Lawton say the seeds of Permaculture sometime take a long time to germinate. I have now completed a PDC and have more courses coming up both in Melbourne and with PRI.
I am currently working in IT and am trying decide if I want to become a farmer or a designer, both appeal to me in different way. While I decide I'll be continuing my urban permaculture backyard and I am in the process of using some IT skills to setup a few websites in the coming months.
I am also starting to look around and find out where my local Permaculture groups meet in South Est Melbourne and was lucky enough to visit David Holmgren's very inspiring Melliodora Permaculture garden and house on International Permaculture day 2015.
