Ann moved from the UK to the USA in 2007 after a 25 year career working as an Operations Manager for Lloyds Bank both in the UK and in India. Her observations of the damage to the environment caused by globalization while in India caused her to change career paths and devote her energies to ‘right living.’ She is the Managing Director of a local land conservancy and a practitioner at Deer Park Monastery. In her spare time she helps her husband, Alden, to run Sky Mountain Permaculture, a non-profit whose mission is to connect people with nature and teach them to live more sustainably. They specialize in water saving practices including creating large earthworks. She is the founder of the Escondido Garden Club - a sneaky way to let people learn about Permaculture!
