My father was in the Army (now retired), so I moved repeatedly growing up. The places I lived in whose climate I recall include (in order) El Paso, TX, San Antonio, TX, Lacey, WA, Hamilton, VA, Pullman, WA, and now Spokane, WA. I went to Washington State University to study computer science, but quit after 3 years in favor of Permaculture.
I have always been interested in any science subject that came my way, and had a love of nature fostered by ... by being human I suppose. Naturally, this led to an interest in ecology, sustainability, and related. In 2012 I found Primal/Paleo, causing an enhanced, hopefully lifelong, interest in and understanding of health. Shortly after I came to the conclusion that I wanted to eventually homestead, regardless of career. In early 2014 I came across mention of Permaculture for the first time and was directed to Geoff Lawton's website. I was hooked immediately. I changed career paths. In 2015 I took his online PDC.
My plan for now is to find work (hopefully as a PC consultant), save up for a few years, buy a cheap property outright, and transform it into abundance.
