(projects i'm involved in)
I have a bachelors degree in Agroecology and Latin American Studies from University of California Santa Cruz. I have worked in many areas such as production agriculture, non-profit farms, environmental education, aquaponics, and land management. I have worked in agriculture for 7 years and managed my Permaculture Consulting business before moving to Ecuador. I am also a carpenter and was previously a sea kayak instructor for 7 years.
I was first turned on to Permaculture through my studies in agroecology, I then pursued an internship at the Regenerative Design Institute with Penny Livingston Stark, I continued to get my PDC and my PD a Teacher Training at the Southern Oregon Permaculture Institute under Chuck Burr.
Currently I am the Director of Agroforestry for the Third Millenium Alliance an NGO in Ecuador focused around conservation, education, and community development. My organization manages a 600 hectare Reserve where we conduct reforestation and agroforestry projects. We run an internship in Permaculture and offer PDC's as well as other courses pertaining to Permaculture.
