Marlon Miller realized at some point after high school that he was now part of the “real world” and had to make a life for himself. After shock subsided and he collected his thoughts, two things came to him. First, was that his public education could have done better to prepare him for this moment! Second, was that the mainstream lifestyle did not appeal to him. What was appealing was living an earth-centered community lifestyle. On his journey since then he has taught at alternative schools, lived in various intentional communities, volunteered on many farms and gardens, gotten married and had a kid, taken a PDC in Virginia, certified as a nutrition coach, and gone to massage school. Currently he is most passionate about urban permaculture because urban areas are where most of the people are.
