Originally I'm from the US, but I have now lived in Ecuador for the past 6 years. I arrived as a Peace Corps Volunteer and was tasked to support an integrated watershed management project. I have since found myself in other roles supporting science and sustainability as an educator, a researcher and community organizer. In Cuenca, I co-created an urban permaculture group, Semilla Urbana Cuenca, which supports urbanites like myself incorporate permaculture principles within the places where we work and live.
