Steve has a background in science and art, is a licensed permaculture instructor and is endlessly fascinated with new techniques for sustainable living. He is also a believer in the healing power of plants and nature. With an emphasis on plants as medicine, renewable energy, nutrition, and recirculating gardening systems he is ecstatic to learn and share every day in sustainable living practices. Although he often takes a more scientific approach to teaching and is always ready to dive into more technical explanations of natural systems, he is also interested in the intersection between science and spirituality that often comes with a study of plants and self-healing.
A man of many hobbies, he has experience building aquaponic and hydroponic systems, making tinctures and medicines from plants and fungi, fermentation, alternative energy generators, water collection, and lots more. He is also an artist and likes to merge art into all aspects of sustainable living so as to mimic the beauty of nature in all that he builds.
