Born in UK 1945, grew up in Africa from age 1. Lived and worked in Zimbabwe, Botswana and Zambia. BA degree at University Zimbabwe 1983. Organic inspector in East and Southern African region since 2000.

Through work with Foundation for Education with Production in Botswana, helped to organise Bill Mollison 2-week course in 1987 and attended together with colleague John Wilson from Zimbabwe, where we were looking for an educational focus for 40ha plot of land. The PDC gave the focus and Fambidzanai Permaculture Training Centre was born!

Currently working at Kasisi Agricultural Training Centre, Zambia, which has trained small scale farmers in organic agriculture since early 1990's. In 2008 started a permaculture zone 3 dryland trial in conjunction with University of Zambia with initial support from Permaculture Latin America (PAL). Introducing permaculture into the training schedule at Kasisi and working with Rescope to introduce permaculture to schools in the Chongwe District.
