After MA in Post-War Reconstruction & Development (Dept Politics - York University) was researching & developing sustainable approaches to community-led food security and economic development initiatives which didn't cost the earth - and stumbled across Permaculture. So thought 'Why reinvent a perfectly good wheel?'

Co-founded GardenAfrica in 2002 when frustrated with the short-term approaches of the NGO sector (one wheel in desperate need of reinvention).

Since then, we've been working with NGOs and CSOs in sub-Saharan Africa, from whom I have learned and shared a good deal. And together we continue to facilitate Permaculture learning with and between participating groups and communities. Long may it continue.
