I have worked in many different careers. Such as in the Wilderness Therapy Field as a wilderness expedition leader through the US & Canada; A Wildlife Vet Technician in NC, GA, & even in Africa; A naturalist at multiple nature centers; and An Arborist;

Through these experiences I have learned not just extensively about the environment and how it works, but about how ecosystems "really" function and how humans themselves can deeply change through these interactions.

I currently am the PreK - 12th grade Environmental Education Coordinator The Heritage Schol in Newnan GA. I integrate Environmental Education cocepts through every subject and every grade level to help students understand systems thinking and become better stewards of the environment. This past year I have started to teach permaculture and deep ecology concepts in the garden to help students become completely aware of their natural surroundings through earth stewardship values. To make things even crazier, I also still am a freelance Ecologist on the side.

My current mission in life is to design my house site into a working permaculture system that shows how a house can be sustainable but also sustain its neighboring community. During this process I want to form sort of like a coalition of fellow permaculturalists, educators, and eco-therapists in the area to help build a non-profit of some sort that teaches nature awareness/eco-therapy components, permaculture, and environmental education + sustainability concepts. I want people to be able to restore themselves before they go out and restore the environment. If we build positive behaviors in local communities then the outcomes will be environmental stewards who actually "CARE" about the environmental and want to go out and make positive impacts in their own community.

Please let me know if you want to be involved during this start up process. I will start planting this October 2017. My house is already set up with rain water catchment and solar. The plants are next!
