See our website: http://www.ecoshow.co.nz/About-Us/jo-and-bryan.html.
I have been teaching PDCs since 1996 with my partner, Jo Pearsall.
Jo and I started the Ecoshow in 2004 and over a period of four such events that focused on permaculture, community, appropriate technology and business, workshops etc we touched the lives of 12,000 people, launched the Transition towns movement in NZ.
Jo and I visited Sweden in 2006 and subsequently created an interest free system for self selecting communities based on reciprocity. There are now groups in many parts of NZ using this system. See www.le.org.nz for more information.
Have recently written a chapter for the NZ edition of Fleeing Vesuvius which includes a plan B for NZ.
Currently involved in setting up Awhi (hugs, caring) Farm Centre of Sustainable Practice in Turangi. This includes provision of tertiary education and qualifications in Sustainable Practice, courses on low cost construction, a 12 month Graduate Certificate based on self directed learning driven through the Natural Step and Permaculture. These qualifications are NZQA approved and through Otago Polytechnic.
Jo and I are working with our Tuwharetoa/Turangi community to create food and economic resilience.
We are now in the process of organising APC#11 for April in Turangi, New Zealand. See www.permacultureaotearoa.co.nz
