(projects i'm involved in)
A scientist by nature, curious since childhood, a biologist by profession, and a profound admirer of Nature and its prolific resourcefulness on resolve.
I had my first contact with Permaculture in 2006, in a 5-month course in Garafía, Isla La Palma, Canary Islands, La Palma Island, Spain, with several teachers (Stella Strega-Scoz, Olivier Tassin, Zoe Costa, Christopher, Paco Reyes, among others). I participated in 3 of the 5 months and returned to Portugal inspired and invigorated.
Since then, I have participated in the emergence of associations, cooperatives for sustainable development, and student group organizations converging on ecoliteracy, agroecology, sustainability, regeneration, and Permaculture.
I have had the opportunity and good fortune to see my work recognized with co-authored awards, including the Voxx Populi Foundation – RibaCôa Award 2011; going through recognition from the UN - Green Festival Award, (2012), to the LUSH Spring Prize, 2025
Since 2006 I have worked as a Trainer, consultant, designer and project manager, implementing Regenerative Design and Permaculture, researcher in pedagogy and ecology (CE3C), at the University of Lisbon.
