Howdy from southeast Texas. I began my journey in permaculture once I found out how fragile our systems of support we rely on so heavily really are and how toxic our environment is becoming. It was a long journey to finally discovering permaculture and once I found it I knew what I was looking for. I studied organic gardening and practiced under a master gardener at a local community garden before eventually getting my certificate in permaculture design.
I now consult professionally in my local area for farmers and ranchers as well as churches and individuals. I am currently working on getting permaculture education into schools in the local area and also working with homeschoolers to bring fun permaculture awareness and education to those learning on their own.
My specialty is designing hidden systems that work well with urban and suburban restrictions, especially those created by homeowner's associations.
I am currently working with designer and educator from South Africa, Dave Dornbrack, who is relocating to my area and we will be hosting events such as permablitzes, one day workshops, intro to permacultures and eventually PDCs.
It is my goal ultimately to bring my community into as much health and nutrition as possible while creating self-sufficient community while doing so ethically and in line with permaculture principles and practices.
My wife is studying herbalism and we will soon be offering herbal education and products locally and on our website.
