I have a background in art and spent 15 years working as a self-employed artisan in jewelry and glass before I began teaching art at Pacific University.

As an educator, I came by my interest in permaculture through education for sustainability and am working to bring big picture systems thinking to my institution as well as to develop new programing and orient existing curricula towards EFS.

I currently direct Pacific University's B Street Permaculture Project as a demonstration site that provides information and inspiration for the learning community of Forest Grove in order to foster the development of a permanent culture in our bioregion.
